Medallion, a Vancouver based company is looking for partners to build a plant to process the metals from he reddish-brown phosphate mineral – Monazite. Monazite contains high concentrations of rare earths.

Currently China corners nearly all the worlds processing capacity for rare earths. China has been using this strategically to its advantage in the trade dispute with US. Currently US imports 80% of the minerals from China.
